CONTRACTOR RESCUE SERVICE
We know that there are many contractors for customers to choose from. We, like you, have heard night mare stories about contractors starting jobs and not finishing them, taking deposits and then disappearing, doing things in a sub-standard and unprofessional way which can result in failed inspections, liens and difficulties selling a property when that time comes.
For this reason we have instituted a division of Renaissance Renovations called our "Contractor Rescue Service." In this capacity we walk in where others have walked out. For a slight premium we make right what has been done wrong and finish what has been left unfinished, ending the spiral of contractor hell that customers sometimes find themselves in despite the best plan and intentions at the outset of the project.
REPAIR DIVISION
In these difficult economic times, it may not be feasible for our clients to undertake the renovations that they long for and deserve. Sometimes people are forced by circumstance to make due with aspects of their homes or offices that they might other wise like to change.
We at Renaissance Renovations understand this. To respond to this need, we have instituted our "Repair Division."
Perhaps there is a door off its hinges, a plumbing leak or plaster that is buckling, missing grout or caulking. Now may not be the time to re-do the entire bathroom, kitchen or office. However, some aspects demand immediate attention. We will assess the problems and advise you of the best way to cure the situation. Our experts are available to remedy your daily problems with the same professionalism that we bring to larger more comprehensive projects.

We absolutely love the bathroom (and other work) completed by RR, and was quite a contrast with the experience we had 10 years before with a contractor who was substandard every step of the way. We knew by early summer that my husband would be having knee surgery around Labor Day, making tubs impossible during an expected long convalescence, so it was suddenly logical that a long contemplated bathroom freshening turn into a full gut renovation, including turning tub into walk-in shower. My husband is unbelievably fussy about quality of materials, installation, and function, so suddenly I had a big project for a critical audience with a firm deadline. Nina oversaw the renovation of my bathroom, building a wall unit in my living room, redoing the floors, skim-coating, and repainting.
I was not working with a designer. Nina was nice enough to actually go shopping with me for tiles, etc. for the bathroom. She had some good ideas which enhanced the bathroom renovation - it is really beautiful.
The quality of the work throughout the apartment is outstanding -- she works with really good people. For example, she had to patch part of my floors, and the new part matches the old part perfectly; you absolutely cannot tell that the floor was patched.
She met with me two or three times before the work started to go over everything and ensure that I was comfortable. I'm sure she would be willing to meet with you as often as you feel would be necessary to get everything right.

ABATEMENT: mold, lead or asbestos
In compliance with local laws and codes, our trained Hazmat teams can remove these toxins from your space. We are fully insured and bonded for this type of demolition.
In April, 2010 a new lead abatement law went into effect. We are certified by the EPA to renovate and do repairs in apartments and homes where lead is present. We will test the surfaces with approved methods and if lead is present, we will undertake the necessary techniques, precautions and legal documentation to protect our clients, their neighbors and our workers from the toxic effects of lead dust.
Mold poses an ever increasing threat to the health of homeowners and apartment dwellers. We have the expertise to remove the contaminated surfaces, dry and wash the air in the space and provide an air test showing healthful results.

CUSTOM WOODWORK
Our cabinet makers are standing by to create furniture grade built-in wall units, entertainment centers, book shelves, computer desks, window seats, radiator covers, grilles, kitchen cabinets, doors or anything else that can be made in a wood shop. We will help you to hone your own ideas so that your piece of custom cabinetry expresses your own style and needs. The pieces can be finished with a sprayed lacquer finish or they can be laminated with a wide variety of plastic or metal laminates. They can be stained and made of many kinds of wood from oak, maple, birch or pine to mahogany, cherry, pecan, zebra wood, wenge or anything else available. If requested, we gladly provide shop drawings.

Before tile can be installed, the surface must be properly prepared to receive the new tile. This is key to a successful tile job. Our artisans will prepare the wall and plan the layout for the project.
